Introduction

The GOZOOR Foundation is excited to announce a major advancement for the Caravan Project, made possible by the generous support of the Anna Lindh Foundation. This esteemed grant allows our founder, Mohamed Nassar, to undertake a month-long journey to Spain, laying the groundwork for the Caravan Project's expansion into this new territory. This collaboration is crucial for fostering cross-cultural exchange and artistic cooperation between Egypt and Spain.

Summary

The Anna Lindh Foundation has awarded a travel grant to the GOZOOR Foundation, specifically supporting Mohamed Nassar's month-long residency in Spain from 15th Jan 2025 To 15th Feb 2025.

  • This grant is essential for preparing the inaugural Caravan event in Spain. During his stay, Mr. Nassar will collaborate closely with our Spanish partner, the AMIGOS DE Europe Foundation in Malaga, to strengthen partnerships and ensure a successful launch of the Caravan Project.

The main objectives of this visit include

Event Preparation and Logistics: Finalizing logistical arrangements for the Caravan event with the AMIGOS DE Europe Foundation, including venue selection, scheduling, and technical requirements.

  • Networking and Partnership Development: Connecting with new partners, artists and cultural institutions in Spain to enhance the Caravan event's program and establish long-term collaborations.
  • Promoting Cross-Cultural Exchange: Encouraging dialogue and understanding between Egyptian and Spanish artists and communities through collaborative projects and shared artistic experiences.
  • The support from the Anna Lindh Foundation is invaluable in helping the GOZOOR Foundation extend the Caravan Project's reach, promoting intercultural dialogue and artistic exchange globally. We are deeply grateful for their commitment to fostering understanding and collaboration across the Mediterranean region and look forward to sharing updates on the Caravan Project's progress in Spain.
